Custom Comfort Mattress (CCM) is family owned mattress manufacturing company located in Orange County, California. CCM is known for making a better mattress by sticking to traditional best practices that have set them apart from their competitors for over 20 years.

CCM hired Rhythm Interactive for their online marketing prowess and user experience capabilities. Their primary business goal was to develop a web presence that would engage visitors, educate them on what makes a good mattress good, and influence them to visit a showroom location to have a “first hand” quality mattress experience.

Rhythm responded by leading the CCM executive team through our user centered design process. We held several discovery workshops at their facility and secretly shopped several store locations. We also surveyed customers which helped us understand the customer journey, their thoughts, feelings and perceptions about buying a mattress, and their experience as a CCM customer.

We then crafted a strategy around user needs and developed an online experience unique to the CCM brand. The result have been very positive. Customers that visit showroom locations, are frequently more knowledgeable about CCM’s manufacturing process and mattress types having viewed the website first. They also are likely to bring a print out from the mattress selection guide which was developed as on online tool to aid customers in the buying process. Overall, the website has helped create positive brand perceptions as showroom visits have increased as well as mattress sales.
