Arzu Studio Hope is a social business enterprise that provides hope for impoverished communities. Currently their focus is in Afghanistan where they help women, their families and communities by employing them at above market wages to create unique, hand-crafted rugs. 93 percent of funds generated through operations go directly back to the communities they work with. ARZU addresses three interdependent needs: consistent and improved employment, access to education, and access to basic healthcare, with a particular focus on maternal and infant care. The approach strengthens women physically and builds self-confidence to enrich them emotionally. This forms a vital foundation of support, which empowers women and builds healthy families, thriving communities and a more sound and secure country.
