Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation

The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is a federally recognized Indian tribe located in Kansas. Originally, they inhabited the Great Lakes region of America and through forced migration, settled in their present day location west of Kansas City. The nation is a vibrant community that retains its cultural heritage and works towards the betterment of its members in a modern age.

The government of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation approached Rhythm Interactive to resolve issues it had faced with its web properties and previous developer. They maintained two separate websites however problems existed with keeping both sites current as well as a consistent identity.

Our first duty was consolidating the large amount of content from both websites into a single website, www.pbpindiantribe.com. Once the structure was in place, information architecture was developed to define the information flow, features and functions of the site. A new modern visual design was then applied and the site was built out in accordance with all design requirements.

The response from the tribal government and their community has been nothing but positive. They love the new site. It portrays a modern image of the nation while still staying true to a traditional identity. A back-end content management system allows staff to update a variety of sections on the site, saving the client money and providing the ultimate convenience of self-service. A retainer relationship has been established to continue further development of the site and plans are in the works for implementing an email communications platform via our RhythmMail product. We are thankful to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation for the honor of working with them to improve their web presence and we look forward to a long partner-based relationship.
