Printronix

Printronix is the leader in enterprise printing solutions for the industrial marketplace and distribution supply chain providing network integrated multi-technology printers to businesses worldwide.

Founded in 1974, Printronix is the acknowledged foremost supplier of line matrix printers and an innovator in continuous form laser printers and thermal bar code label printers. Printronix also has become an established leader in pioneering technologies, including radio frequency identification (RFID) printing, bar code compliance and networked printer management.

Printronix has been a long-standing client, that over the years we have provided many different support services to. Last year they contracted with us to redesign their corporate website. After reviewing the existing website and meeting with the marketing department several times we established a comprehensive list of business goals and user needs that led the way in terms of the initial discovery process.

We also learned about their reseller channels and how clients go about researching and then purchasing Printronix products. Additionally, we explored the growth that Printronix had been experiencing in Asia and its desire to increase sales through their online store. The result was a detailed discovery report that helped shape the redesign strategy.

The redesign strategy was prepared and reviewed with the Printronix team. After a few minor revisions, we were off and running, starting the redesign process. It took us two months to create the finish the detailed design layouts. After approval we supplied the finished design specifications to Printronix’s internal programming department for implementation.

The entire project is 96% completed and the new website will be deployed by the end of May. We are so excited about the new site and what it will accomplish for Printronix that we wanted to share it with out clients as a pre-launch announcement as we hope you all will go to the existing website and take a look and then check back on June 1, 2008 to experience the difference!
