Strategic Planning
Rhythm Interactive believes that for each and every client our job is to deliver results. In doing so we aim to meet specific goals and objectives that are formulated on a client-by-client basis. This is the precise reason that strategic planning is so important - to understand each client’s unique situation and to prepare and enact a custom approach to achieve desired outcomes.
Rhythm Interactive has a long history of working on client accounts. While the project process that we follow has changed over time, our goal to perform based on a solid strategy has remained. Today we employ a five (5)-step process that begins with discovery and strategy.
Each project that we work begins with a discovery step that involves meetings and discussions. Through this level of interaction we learn about our client’s unique business situation. This often involves a review of target market(s), competitors, sales processes, client’s expectations, current and past marketing efforts, marketing plan review, staff interviews and customer surveys. Once we have completed the discovery process a detailed document is prepared and submitted to the client for review and further discussion. Once this document is finalized we move to the strategic phase.
The strategic phase takes into account everything that we learned during discovery, and it also includes client goals and objectives. The goals and objectives may have been pre-existing and identified during discovery, or they may be new and formulated at this point in the process. Either way the goals and objectives are intertwined with information from discovery and the client’s brand. This is especially important, as anything that we do in terms of solution must be consistent with the existing brand.
The primary deliverable at this point in the process is the strategic plan. It contains a great deal of information that carefully lays out exactly how desired results will be achieved. This often includes massaging development, call-to-action scenario development, image tactics, content direction, viewer experience modeling, critical next steps, identifying specific web interfaces that need to be developed and possibly more, depending on the complexity of the given project. Once completed, the plan is submitted for client review and discussion.
The product of this process is a detailed plan that is consistent with our client’s business and brand. The plan reflects specific tactics that will be employed to get results. The tactics are implemented during the build and design phases. The final outcome is then measured for performance in terms of meeting and exceeding client expectations. The results are measured, analyzed and improved upon each month.
Without solid discovery and a well-thought-out strategy, a client solution is nothing more than a wild guess. The strategy is what enables us to deliver results, as it is based on a plan that is supported by fact, critical thinking, collaboration and finally, our experience as a professional interactive marketing firm.
