The next step in the planning process is to determine what the primary and secondary channels are that will be targeted. Additionally, we must identify what the conversion process will be. This means understanding and planning the intended action a prospect will initially take, what the next steps will be, and ultimately what will take place to achieve conversion. Once this process is completed, a written plan is developed that is used to guide with media purchases.
Many of the marketing campaigns that we employ require the purchase of media. This could be in the form of permission-based email lists, online banner advertisements, and in the case of print and disc-based marketing, the printing and/or manufacturing of physical units. Working with the established budget (formulated in the planning stage), we take the necessary steps to purchase the required media. Once the purchasing step is complete, we work to initiate the marketing campaign.
Once the campaign is underway, we monitor progress and produce reports that we review with the client. The reports provide detailed information that reflects total number of recipients, total number of views, total number of opens and ultimately the total number of conversions. Based on the numbers, adjustments can be made to improve results.
