Vitria

(by Peter Bohenek, President)

Established in 1994, Vitria leads the market with a new breed of service-oriented business applications (SOBAs) called business process applications (BPAs). Based on flexible service-oriented architecture (SOA), these BPAs automate and simplify the management of critical, complex processes that span multiple systems.

Today, Vitria is the only company that offers a complete business process solution for healthcare, telecommunications, financial services and manufacturing/supply chains. It helps customers dramatically improve strategic business processes across systems, people, and trading partners.

Vitria contacted Rhythm Interactive for assistance with the redesign of their corporate website. The existing site had been in place for several years and reached a point where it lacked the punch needed to convert viewers. Furthermore, the site had become out of date with regard to messaging and new products that Vitria had recently developed and brought to market.

Vitria’s goal was to develop a first class website that would differentiate them from the competition and, most importantly, clearly communicate the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers. Working closely with Vitria’s brand managers and key marketing executives, a comprehensive strategy to develop the new site was formulated and enacted.

While Rhythm Interactive worked on the navigational system, the design and the content management system, Vitria began to work on organizing and producing website content. Within several weeks a fully functioning prototype was developed that enabled Vitria to clearly understand content needs, section by section. As content was completed, it was added to the prototype until each category was complete.

Top level messaging was formulated, and the Flash introduction was developed. The last step was skinning the website and image selection. Rhythm Interactive used several different image sources and worked diligently to produce the completed beta version of the website. Testing and quality control were performed over a 5-day period. On day six, the website was launched without a hiccup!

Viewer response to the new website has been extremely positive. Several internal employees, key personnel and sales affiliates have commented on the ease of use and the enhanced brand image the site communicates to viewers. This is exciting as the project goals were realized with 100% client satisfaction.
