Immerse

The purpose of the Immerse Phase is to build on the strategic plan to define the architecture and design for the solution. First, the team creates an architectural foundation by identifying all of the necessary design components, defining their purpose, behavior and properties, modeling their relationship to one another and arranging them into a cohesive, logical structure. Next, the team builds on this architectural foundation to develop and test a design that achieves the vision articulated in the Strategic Plan. Finally, the team produces detailed specs to implement the design.

Activities:

  • Create scenarios, conceptual models, and process models
  • Identify/describe elements
  • Create high-level data models
  • Illustrate framework
  • Develop messages
  • Develop media content
  • Design prototypes
  • Validate prototype with users
  • Create detailed design specification

Deliverables:

  • Solution Architecture
  • Creative Design
  • Specifications for Implementation

Results:

The activities and deliverables in this phase define the structure, meaning and behavior of the solution. Creative messaging, mood, persona and style are applied to the architectural framework and the solution is validated with key stakeholders and users. Finally, the specifications to implement the designs are described in detail.
