Online Trading Academy is an international franchise organization that teaches people how to trade at a professional level on par with Wall Street professionals. The instruction takes place mostly in a live classroom environment at one of Online Trading Academy’s locations around the world, but they also offer free online courses and home study materials via CDs that can be purchased from their website.

Online Trading Academy has some of the most leading-edge teaching methods and content to help people become advanced traders, but the presentation quality of their free online courses and home study CDs did not reflect the superior value they offer their students. Considering the impact that this learning vehicle has on their brand perception, the marketing team at Online Trading Academy asked Rhythm Interactive to first redesign the interactive player application that delivers the virtual course content and then to redesign the presentation of their flagship free online course, The 7 Pillars of Trading.

The Rhythm Interactive team used Flash technology to create an elegant, scalable design for the player application that all of Online Trading Academy’s virtual course content could be migrated into. We then completely redesigned The 7 Pillars of Trading presentation. Since this piece is the most important introduction to Online Trading Academy that helps prospects understand what they’re all about and what makes them different, we put extra effort into making the production values superior. We began by rewriting the script to be more clear and accurately reflect the brand. We then story boarded the entire 20 minute presentation in preparation to shoot live action video of Online Trading Academy’s lead Instructor, Mike Mc Mahon, hosting the presentation. Next, we went to a video production studio and shot Mike on green screen. We then went to a sound studio and recorded Online Trading Academy’s VP of Marketing, Tony Harkey, doing voice over for the final pitch at the end of the presentation. Finally, took all of the material and edited it using Final Cut Pro, then did all of the post-production design using Adobe After Effects.

The final product resulted in a superior presentation that helped Online Trading Academy put their best foot forward when making contact with new prospects and it set the standard for the quality of all future virtual presentations.
